Spatial Consciousness & The Production of Space

The point of departure will be Spatial Consciousness – Locating Art and Artistic Performance, a «letter from» text by the English scholar and writer Andy Merrifield that was commissioned by Moore in 2022. Merrifield explores various conceptions of space and spatial consciousness, both vast and intimate, and its realtionship to time and to art in public space, with a special focus upon Henri Lefebvre’s trialectical ideas about The Production of Space.
